I’m Steve. I’ve spent years making spreadsheets do the boring bits.
I work with reporting data in spreadsheets day in, day out, and I’ve done postgraduate study in data science, so I know both the theory and the messy reality of a real-world workbook. What I love most is taking a pile of raw numbers and turning it into a report people actually understand and trust. I started That Spreadsheet Guy to share the practical skills that make that possible, minus the jargon.
How I Got Here

My day-to-day work is built around reporting data in spreadsheets — pulling numbers together, checking they’re right, and turning them into something a business can actually act on. Postgraduate study in data science gave me the theory underneath that; running real reports gave me the scars.
